Round two Farmer Peer-to-Peer Group funding opens

To support farmers to connect and learn from other farmers, peer-to-peer farmer groups in the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) catchment, can now apply for up to $20,000 (excl. GST) for projects and regional events.

The purpose of the funding is to support groups undertake projects that contribute to:

·       Adoption of improved farming practices

·       Improved water quality flowing to the GBR

·       Enhanced capacity, skills and knowledge within farmer groups and the farming community

Landcare and/or local catchment or sub-catchment groups working with farmers to improve farming practices can also apply. Applications close 5pm Friday 14 June 2024.

To help people develop and write applications, free online Project Development workshops are being held on 7 and 22 May and Grant Writing workshops on 16 May and 4 Jun.  REGISTER HERE  to enrol in these workshops.

The Integrated Engagement and Capacity Building project is funded through the Queensland Government’s Queensland Reef Water Quality Program and delivered by DAF.
